Our Alumni

NIS is a special place. It is both a physical place, and a place that exists in our hearts, across generations, cultures and languages. Regardless of age or the number of years here as a student, alumni and former staff (and parents!) share a unique bond and a desire to continue what has made NIS an important part of so many of our lives – our love of learning, our commitment to causes greater than ourselves, and our pursuit of dreams. We hope that these pages can help foster that bond, and connect our current school community with our alumni community. Go Dolphins!

Dolphin Tales

NIS has a long history in Nakashidami. It started in the mid-1960s with a dream held by a handful of parents seeking to educate their children and build a school community that would continue to serve the Nagoya area for years to come. Since that time, thousands of students have called NIS home. Whether they have been a member of our community for just a short while or for their entire school life from preschool through high school, graduates and former students can be found in all corners of the globe following their passions and having an impact in their communities. Check out below how our students have Inquired, Inspired, and Impacted their way out in the world, beyond Nakashidami!
